Take your deviled eggs to the next level with this handmade serving vessel designed specifically for one of my favorite potluck foods!

The egg server starts as two lumps of mid-range porcelain. One ball of clay is shaped on the potter's wheel then darted and notched on the foot. The other piece of clay is rolled out as a slap and formed over a plaster mold to make the egg-holding tray. The two parts are combined when the clay is still wet. Colored slip dots and lines were applied with a metal-tipped slip trailer, wrapping the piece in pattern that is both tactile and beautiful.

The egg server is glaze fired to cone 6 in an electric kiln. Glazes are lead free and food safe. It is dishwasher safe but I always suggest hand-washing to protect delicate edges.

The piece measures ~ 7 inches tall x 10.5 inches wide.
