Burro Branch Studios will be among the 60+ painters, photographers, sculptors, potters, and other artisans juried into the 2024 DBQFest celebrations!
The inaugural DBQFest was held September 28-30, 1979. An annual fall festival complete with ethnic foods, sidewalk shopping, an arts and craft fair, and live music, the celebration’s goal has always been to emphasize Dubuque’s ethnic and cultural heritage. At the time, this meant German, Greek, Irish and Jewish. Today, this includes Marshallese, Black, Hispanic, and the voices of growing populations in our community.
DBQFest 2024 is free and open to the public, taking place Saturday, August 10 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, August 11 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Live music, food trucks, and community resource booths will be part of the festivities in addition to the 60+ visual artists’ booths.
